Job title: Interim Assistant Health Administrator
Education: A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy, Karmen received her bachelor’s degree at Central Michigan University, majoring in public health education and health promotion with a minor in substance abuse education. Karmen is currently completing a Master of Science in Administration degree in health administration, also at CMU.
Her new job: “I am excited that my education is allowing me to give back to my community in this capacity. Nimkee Clinic is a Tribal Health clinic on the Isabella Indian Reservation providing services and programs to Native Americans in Isabella and the surrounding five county service area. I will be providing overall management of the day-to-day operations of the Tribal Health Department.”
Mid-Michigan appeal: “Mount Pleasant is a great place to raise a family. Shopping is also fun with the unique boutique stores that downtown Mount Pleasant has to offer; [it's] the small town feel with a big city appeal.”
