The Central Michigan International Film Festival hits Mount Pleasant for the eighth year in a row March 19-28.
More than 20 films, including Academy Award-winning “Precious,” best picture nominated “A Serious Man” and Michael Moore’s latest documentary, “Capitalism: A Love Story,” will be shown at three venues in Mount Pleasant, including Broadway Theatre, Celebration! Cinema, and CMU’s Park Library Auditorium. The festival is always a great bet for film buffs interested in catching movies they don’t normally have the opportunity to see on the big screen, like independent and foreign flicks.
Tickets are $5 each or $30 for a book of 20 and are available at Java City, Art Reach Office and Gallery, Celebration! Cinema, and at the CMU School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts.
Visit the film fest’s Web site for a schedule and more information.
